Reviews
Food was too salty, i am not a big fan of Matjes or raw fish. Sides and sauce was tasty but fish was too salty.
Quaint little restaurant that invites you to linger. Food was great. We'd love to come back.
Hard to get a table here. Food is great. We loved it
We were in Kuddel-Daddel-Du for the first time. Furnished in the style of a seafaring bar, cozy in a rustic way. The waitress, who assigns seats with short, succinct instructions and otherwise mutters something into her beard, definitely fits here.
As a starter we had the crab 🦐 soup, really delicious with a lot of 🦐 in it.
For the main course, my wife had the fried herring in sour, without fried potatoes, but with salad. The fried herring was mild and ok for us, the salad portion was rather small.
I had the Labskaus, Labskaus itself was delicious, the fried egg was no art, the herring was mild (although I'm more familiar with the dish with Rollmops), the beetroot was rather sour and not pickled myself.
The preparation of the dishes went quickly.
Price/performance doesn't really suit me, but that's due to tourism here.
We went there to eat three times in one week and were lucky to get space.
The food was really very good, it's a shame we had to leave again, it's best to reserve well in advance of your arrival, the restaurant is right opposite the Hotel Ubstahboom.
You have to make a reservation in this small inn and it's worth it. We were warmly welcomed when it opened at 5:30 p.m. along with everyone else who had also made a reservation. Then the places were assigned. Orders are taken table by table. The food tasted very good and we were well served. I cannot confirm the isolated negative descriptions. This is a traditional small restaurant with Störtebeker Pils and Dunkel on tap and 2 red and 2 white wines each. The menu is quite large for a restaurant of this size.
Rarely eaten so well. We had homemade spiced meat as a starter that was really, really good. The main course was cod with fried potatoes and homemade cucumber salad. 🥰
Highly recommended!
We went to the small, cozy maritime-style restaurant for lunch today. You should reserve a table in advance. The service is friendly. The food is freshly prepared and is very, very tasty.
Thank you again for the great service and delicious food.
